| Spanish Angel has marvelous crias!! She is one of our best breeding females. She has given us beautiful girls three years in a row. All crias were fawns, from breeding two fawns and one beige. This year she has been bred to Mercury Rising, our rose grey stud. We feel there is a very good chance to get a grey from this pairing. Spanish is an import and came to us from a very large farm in Texas. When we first got her, you could tell she had rarely been handled. Now she is calm and very easy to handle, even at shot time she stands with no problem. Her last baby was born a week early outside at night. It was a very cold night and we feel the baby died from exposure. We had been watching her for 2 weeks, but made a terrible mistake by not bringing her in that night. What a hard, sad lesson for us. She bred back without any problems, settling the first breeding. The two live births she has had since we owned her were unassisted, with excellent milk production. She is 10 years old looking younger than some of the ones half her age. We believe she’ll be that girl that births til she’s 20. Her fiber is absolutely amazing at 10, with a micron of 20.2! She still exhibits crimp that is very uniform. She has excellent conformation, toe nails and teeth that rarely need a trim. She is every bit worth 16,500! |
